M3T attended the in-person meeting in Denver from May 16-19. The event was a tremendous success for PSA and all their owner-members which includes M3T Corporation.
The training was very much geared toward those who need to work on their companies as opposed to in them. Topics covered included:
The event is sponsored by many PSA vendor partners; in this case, over 24 attended and exhibited. Some of the most unique offerings included a software product that allows network video recorders to store video in a cloud location seamlessly. Allowing the NVR to not know the video is located off its hard drive. Priced per terabyte/month, this unique offering can solve a number of client challenges. Another innovation was seeing the work of an electronic lock manufacturer who has systematized the management and issuing of digital credentials in a manner that relieves the integrator of much of the pain associated with these types of credentials.
The event is a time for connecting with colleagues and sharing challenges and successes. One consistent theme amongst the integrators is having a large volume of business to perform but struggling to get it done due to supply chain uses. This has negatively impacted many member companies in Q1 2022. Manufacturing partners were frank and concise in assessing their supply of materials and components. Some have deep struggles and forecast 30–40-week lead times while others quite literally have in stock most of their product lines.
Next year’s event will be in Dallas, TX. We hope to bring a number of M3T Team members, as more and more of the M3T Team join PSA committees to learn from their colleagues and support the association.
Conference at the Eden Resort in Lancaster, Pennsylvania focused on providing care for seniors in Personal Care and Assisted Living Communities in Pennsylvania. M3T regularly supports and sponsors the PALA Conference. We will be at the Fall Conference later this year, in September, in Cranberry Township.
The South Central Task Force, Homeland Security Conference was held in March at Central Penn College. The conference provided training, learning, and networking opportunities for the members. M3T proudly presented the educational session, Advances in Security Technology, which focused on:
VALA’s 2022 Spring Conference at the Marriot’s City Center in Newport News, Virginia focused on providing educational opportunities, regulatory updates, and industry best practices for Virginia’s assisted living providers. M3T regularly supports and sponsors the VALA Conference. We will be at the Fall Conference later this year, in October, in Hampton, Virginia.
ISC West held the annual conference and exposition in Las Vegas, with educational and training sessions throughout the four-day gathering. M3T provided our experience in two different educational sharing and development sessions:

Newcomers in the field probably find it hard to imagine operating with little formal training, few tools, and no digital technology. In this special feature, pioneers who helped to turn healthcare security into a rigorous profession join with newer leaders to paint a picture of how healthcare security has evolved over the past several decades and where it is heading.

An intense summer storm caused critical system failures in communications, access control, intrusion, and video surveillance. The customer’s existing service provider was unable to provide support.
The next step – a phone call to M3T Corporation for assistance.
The customer’s campus has seven buildings, 200 residential units, and a variety of technology with an urgent need to establish a plan to assess and repair. M3T stepped in to help the customer move forward.
Step 1: Assess the current state of the communications technology; how the system integrates to the access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems and what are the positives and negatives of the current configuration and the resources requir3ed to restore communications to the campus.
Step 2: Assess the current state of the door locking technology and access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems to determine the replacement requirements to regain security and controlled access to the campus buildings.
Step 3: Provide the engineering resources to create the technology “repair, replace, integrate” plan. There were two options presented for the communications infrastructure: install physical fiber between the buildings or implement a wireless mesh network. The client chose to implement a wireless mesh network which ensures all security equipment is maintained on the same network. This provides remote diagnostics and support as well as reduces wait time for the customer and their clients.
Step 4: Design a surge protection system for the technology in each of the seven buildings to avoid potential future catastrophic system failures. This was a multi-phased solution involving service, technical, and software support resources from M3T. Parallel and consecutive paths were followed to repair, replace, and integrate the technology but, most importantly, to ensure the campus has reliable communications, security, support, and procedures moving forward.

In August 2021, M3T performed a project for a client in Mechanicsburg, PA. Our scope of work was to pull the associated cabling and install 10 video surveillance cameras along with a Bosch intrusion detection system. The client wanted to be able to monitor the cameras and the Bosch system remotely.
To meet the client’s expectations, we provided an Axis Camera Station, which allows the client to use their mobile device to remotely access the cameras on-site from anywhere with a cellular or internet connection.
One of the main challenges that arose on this project was the sheer number of sub-contractors all required to be on-site at the same time in a very confined space. This did result in a few delays as a different contractor damaged our cabling before we were able to terminate it to the control boards/Axis Camera Station.
We worked hand in hand with the client to schedule the technician on-site around the other vendors. The client provided the following feedback after project completion:
“I first wanted to start with how great of a job [the technician] did for us on site. He was very professional, great working around many contractors in a challenging environment and really put in the extra effort to finish the project. On a project with other contractors who did not have the same professionalism and work ethic, it did not go unnoticed. We really appreciate his work on this project and cannot say enough good things about him!”
In a work environment where there was a lot of chaos and frustration to the client, M3T was able to stand out for our reliability and dependability. Proving that we are Trusted Partners for a Better Tomorrow.
The business problem to be solved – how to view the complete structure and surrounding campus, document the physical building, infrastructure, and assets, and document/digitize the security technology and its coverage deployment.
Packaging and warehousing in a 50,000 square foot facility is a dynamic operation. Creating a virtual image, a digital twin, was determined to be the best path forward to meet the stakeholders’ requirements.
The first step with our customer’s project team is to interview the members and document their objectives and measures of success for the project and virtual imaging. Once the research and education process was finished, the M3T team walked the facility to understand the sheer size and dimension of the building and how to best create and execute the virtual imaging of the building and campus.
The “outcomes” were documented, an execution plan was developed, and the process began. The digital twin was created for each compartment of the facility:
Once complete, the customer had met their performance objective for the project, and now has the benefit of viewing the structure and spaces using the digital twin service. They can overlay CAD/BIM/PDF drawings as well as view the digital twin service from the cloud, maximizing their daily OPEX investment.
